Suzhou Grand Theatre

Located on the eastern shore of Taihu Lake in Suzhou, the Suzhou Bay Grand Theatre was designed by Bao Zanbak. Its most striking feature is a suspended “ribbon” of anodized aluminum panels that connects the north and south sections of the building. The aluminum panels form an irregular, curved shape, and the anodized finish gives them a silky metallic sheen, making the entire structure resemble a piece of silk dancing along the shores of Taihu Lake.
